Look! Talk! Create! Free Family Days
Free Days and Free Family Programs encourage children and their families or adult companions to explore MOAD with hands-on educational activities designed with the whole family in mind. Free Family Programs are presented on the last Sunday of each month all year round.
Family Programs are tailored for children ages 5 to 12 and their parents or caregivers. Designed for kids of all ages, the Family Program features hands-on educational activities that explore exhibition themes and material through fun art projects.
MOAD’s Family Programs take place from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on the last Sunday of each month. No advance registration is required. Please check the program listings below or MOAD’s Calendar for more detailed information. Family Programs workshops take place in MOAD’s Education Lab. Space is limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
MOAD’s free “pop-up” children’s education program, GOGO MOAD, takes place on the third Saturday of every month at satellite locations throughout the city. Shared learning experiences of exploring ideas and creating together, these programs include hands-on artmaking and collaborative activities. Locations have included the ARC Arts & Recreation Center in Opa-locka, the Little Haiti Cultural Complex, Lotus House, Miramar Cultural Center/Artspark, the Coconut Grove Arts Festival, and the Miami Book Fair.
